In 1983, Jack Stack and 12 business partners purchased a struggling International Harvester division in Springfield, Missouri. With an 89-to-1 debt-to-equity ratio and an 18% interest rate, the company’s future depended on every employee understanding how the business worked.
That challenge led to an open-book management system that gave employees the knowledge and tools to directly influence the company’s success. This system became The Great Game of Business®, helping SRC grow from one remanufacturing operation into a family of employee-owned companies.
SRC Logistics joined that story in 1994, originally operating as Encore, Inc. Today, we continue that legacy through innovative core management, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain solutions.
