McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — JLG Industries Inc. recently was recognized by Access, Lift and Handlers magazine for its EcoLift series for the low-level access segment.
The magazine named the EcoLift a winner in product innovation during an annual conference.
The lifts may be used by workers in place of ladders.
Introduced at The Rental Show 2016, the JLG EcoLift 50 and EcoLift 70 give operators the confidence to tackle low-level tasks, such as changing light bulbs, hanging decor or accessing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning ductwork, according to a JLG news release.
The product from the Oshkosh Corp. subsidiary is described as “virtually maintenance free” due to a power-lift system that doesn’t require batteries, hydraulics, oils or controls. They provide working heights of 10 feet 11 inches and 13 feet 2 inches.
“There’s a lot of interest for this type of product because people are moving away from ladder use,” judges at the conference said. “The EcoLift is power-free, with no oil, batteries or hydraulics, which means it will be long-lasting and ecofriendly.”
